Coastal art of north Wales

While visiting north Wales this year, make some time to visit one of our beautiful galleries ‘s here. Whether its contemporary, oil on canvas or pastel art your interested in, there is a little bit of something for everybody here. Being the year of the sea in north Wales, there is a push for all things coastal. So we thought we would bring you a taste of some of the hot galleries to head to on your stay. North Wales has become quite a busy center of UK art. There are many exciting art galleries all over north Wales that display some splendid work. If you are an art lover, then it makes sense to check out some of these coastal art galleries. Here is a brief list you should take a close look at.
1.Oriel Kyffin Williams, Anglesey
Kyffin Williams is a famous and much-loved Welsh artist. To commemorate his works of art, the Oriel Kyffin Williams art gallery has opened up. It portrays his life and features many of his works. Recently, it underwent a costly refurbishment.
2.Oriel Musty Gallery, Llandudno
This is one of the more beautiful art galleries in Wales. Here, you can view some of the best contemporary Welsh art works. In fact, you also get to see works of non-Welsh artists.
3.The Royal Cambrian Academy, Conwy
Founded in 1881, this art gallery gets its inspiration from the North Welsh landscape. It opens only six times in the year but it is certainly well worth a visit.
4.Oriel Pla Glyn-y-Weddw, Pwllheli
This is one of the more exciting art galleries that is located in a nineteenth century mansion. It displays the private collection of Jones-Perry family and is focused mainly on contemporary works of art from famous artists from within and without Wales.
5.Janet Bell Gallery, Beaumaris
Not surprisingly, this art gallery is devoted to the works of Janet Bell, a wonderful artist. This art gallery is located on Wall Street, Beaumaris and is devoted entirely to selling her prints, cards and gifts.
6.Oriel Tegfryn, Menai Bridge
This wonderful art gallery was established way back in 1963. It is one of the oldest art galleries in Wales and is devoted to exhibiting the works of leading artists from Wales including but not limited to famous artists like William Selwyn and Gwilym Prichard.
7.Oriel Ynys Mon, Anglesey’s Centre for Art and History
Here, you can view exciting works of art. Works of famous artists are displayed here and each artist has interpreted impressions of Wales individually.
8.Gallery Betws Y Coed
The nice thing about visiting this art gallery is its shows an ever-changing selection of works of art by well-known as well as emerging Welsh artists.
9.Ffin y Parc Gallery, Conwy
Opened in 2010, this art gallery has become very successful. It is currently displaying the works of more than 40 artists including young newcomers and more established and successful artists working in Wales.
10.Mostyn Galleri
There is much more to this art gallery than its reputation for being the best contemporary art gallery in Wales. Here, you can view some of the best international contemporary art including works of artists from Wales and beyond.
11.Harbor Gallery, Conwy 
This is one of those art galleries that features artwork from Josie Russell and Elizabeth Myfanwy Clough and John Bentham and many others. Exhibitions and workshops are held here from time to time.
12.Makin’ Magic Fractal Art, Colwyn Bay
This is an art gallery that is devoted to displaying various works of art including but not limited to abstract art, fantasy art, impressionist art, sci-fi art and much more.
13.Charles Bell Art, Deganwy
This is an art gallery that is devoted to the works of artist Charles Bell. He has created many wonderful works of art including water color prints that bring out the best and most nostalgic memories of Wales.
14.Blackcutwitch Designs
Owned by noted artist and sculptor Christina J. Phillips, this art gallery displays her works, which are much in demand.
15.Tina Holley Gallery
Tina Holley has won many awards and her works of art exemplify the best in meticulous brushwork. Here, you can view here work in solo and group exhibitions.
