Top Unique Hotels on Anglesey & North Wales

If your visiting Anglesey and north Wales this year on your staycation then why not take advantage of some of the most amazing seaside stays. There are so many unique hotels to stay in north Wales. We don’t have the Hilton and the like, but we do have culturally rich destinations within minutes walk to the best beaches in the UK.  Some hotels are sat on the shore of the dynamic Menai strait others are nestled into private estates in the wonderful peaceful countryside on Anglesey. There is a huge diversity of hotels to choose from on your stay.

Some have way more culture than others, etched with some of the amazing welsh history like the Black boy in Caernarfon. Some have sea side positions like the Gazelle and the Garddon Inn and some have modern day spas like Tre-Ysgawen Hall, each having their unique little points of interest.

We have put together a little listing of some of the more unique hotels in North Wales, which includes some on Anglesey too. There are some rather special ones here, whether your into sea side stays or country manors, there a few here in each to tickle your fancies.

I know the world has gone full tilt on air b&b, but at the same time, it’s not quite the same as a beautifully run hotel, I guess there is room for both in a changing decentralised world.

Total transparency, I have not stayed in these hotels, (when you live on the Island, you have no need) but I have visited them all in on different occasions for functions, so I know what they’re style and substance quite well. It’s not all about the 5* experience these days, it’s about some quirky culture, creativity and a connection to culture of sort to the area your staying through culture I find.

Hope the little blog helps you have a search through a hidden gems here. Enjoy.
