Whatsonnorthwales started as a an idea in a cafe back in 2014 as we couldn’t find an upto date listing for what was happening on Anglesey and north Wales.

A local outdoor sports enthusiast and marine geologist, I’m a bit passionate about the outdoors and everything that north Wales stands for. After travelling to a few places around the world, I felt north Wales was not supported in a digital from and I wanted to do something about it in a positive way.

The idea was implemented and tuned into the first website in late 2016 and became a popular local blog. Now in 2019 we have a website with over 130 blogs and we are moving whatson, to a platform with way more information in map friendly forms.

Moving forward in 2019 we aim to provide visitors to north Wales, an upto date information about where to stay, whats to do, and where to eat in a much more integrated fashion on a new platform. We aim to be very active and popular on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and aim to hit 50,000 combined social audience by the end of 2019.

Next we are moving to youtube, Pinterest and Linked In. With a target of 200 blogs by season end we should rank as the best blog north Wales has seen to date. We will be implementing and online store later this year, wedding, stag and hen do tabs, as well as definitive guides for most outdoor sports such as golf, mountain biking, water sports, walking and hiking.

Im a freelance marine geologist by trade, live on Anglesey and do this blog in my spare time while travelling around the island having fun in the outdoors. This blog is all self funded thus far, if you want to support us you can help our cause to promote north Wales in a modern digital way you can treat us to a coffee or beer here !

So lots planned this season ! Keep visiting to see the updates and hope you all like the new site.
