Once again, we are joined by Julian Hughes of the Welsh Ornithological Society for this workshop. It is a real treat to have his expertinput as we travel from the valley, through distinct habitats to open mountain. This is Hen harrier country. nnThese workshops are primarily aimed at Mountain Leaders and Instructors or trainees workingtowards those awards. Anyone working outside with, or leading, groups in the hills or mountains of the UK should however, find these workshops of interest. We generallyattract a like-minded keen group of people who get along with each other giving the day a fun feelingin which to learn. nnThis workshop is eligible for MTA, AMI, BAIMLand BMG CPD points. nnWhilst this workshop has a bird’s theme Mike, author of Nature of Snowdonia, will respond to whatever the environment and weather throw at us on the day. Key topics might include; spring flowers and other plants, geology, glaciation, and archaeology. nnYou will need to dress for the weather, bring spare gear, and expect to be ‘on the hill’ forabout six hours. Bring a packed lunch. You will find a digital camera and/or a smart phone, pen/pencil and notebook handy too. nnA proportion of your fee will be donated to the Welsh Ornithological Tru
